Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Do you come pick us up?
A: Yes we do. Your guide will pick you up at your hotel or residence and return you at the end of the tour.
Q: What should I wear?
A: Fully enclosed shoes are necessary (sneakers are fine). We will go out to walk around a bit so you can see things “up close and personal,” and you want to protect your feet. A hat is recommended. Sunscreen is also recommended. Shorts and short-sleeves are okay, but it is usually recommended that you bring a sweater or jacket.
Q: What time does the tour go out?
A: We offer flexible departure times starting at 7:00 a.m. until mid-afternoon and will work with you to fit a tour into your schedule.
Q: Is there a lot of walking?
A: Your guide will customize your tour based on your abilities and personal preferences.
Q: How much is the tour?
A: Our rates are seasonal. Please call for current pricing.
Q: Is a gratuity included in the cost of the tour?
A: No, we do not include a gratuity in the cost of the tour. If you wish to tip your guide you can add it to your credit card payment or give it to the drive directly.
Q: Do your tour vehicles have air conditioning?
A: Yes and no. The on-road tours SUV does have climate control. The off-road tour vehicles do not have air conditioning; they are desert safari-style with roll-up sides to make them open air trucks (great views of the desert that way).
Q: Are there restrooms on the tours?
A: The desert trail tour is on a preserve with no facilities, so your guide will offer a stop at a public restroom near the trailhead and again on the way back to the drop-off point. Road tours offer many rest stop opportunities, if the need arises.
Q: What is your cancellation policy?
A: We have a $25 cancellation fee for tours canceled within 24 hours prior to your scheduled pick-up.
