Visit the lush EcoSystem of the Sonoran Desert with us to get a beautiful, unmatched view of Granite Mountain, Verde Valley, the Four Peaks Wilderness, the Superstition Mountains and beyond.

Your guide will pick you up in 4×4 desert vehicles at your hotel or residence and take you out to explore an untamed Southwest Desert garden with varieties flowers, trees, and a cactus or two that live no where else. The 3-1/2 to 4 hour tour includes scenic views of the Verde River Valley and short, gentle hikes to places where Native Americans might have camped. We also can stop for a visit to a Cowboy Bunkhouse, an Old West jail, and one of the first stage coach stops in the Phoenix area. Your tour guide is knowledgeable of the plants, birds and wildlife, history, and geology of the region and will regale you with tales of the Old West and how people survived in the desert environment.

Do remember to bring your camera! The trail offers spectacular desert views, tremendous rock formations, the jumpin cholla and the mighty Saguaro – up close and personal. The Sonoran Desert always has an abundance of plant life, and in Springtime the desert explodes with color as the cacti, trees, and wildflowers bloom. Come out with us at any time of year to explore the wild desert environment. You will be amazed at the site of “Old Grandpa,” the ancient saguaro cactus, with 43 arms at last count. Also, you might catch site of the hawks, Gila woodpeckers, and cactus wrens, or tarantulas, lizards, jackalope and the occasional rattlesnake that roam the area.

Tour times are flexible; we work with you to arrange pick-up and drop-off times that work with your schedule. Your tour can leave in the morning, early or later afternoon. We are available sun-up until sunset. Call us any time!
