On Road Tours

Come back in time with us to see places of long ago, but not that far away. Your guide will pick you up for your road trip in our comfortable 4×4 SUV and take you out for a guided tour of the Apache Trail and the Rio Salado Indian Ruins at Tonto National Monument, a real ghost town and gold mine, the Tonto Natural Bridge, or a custom tour of your own design.

Apache Trail & Rio Salado Ruins Tour

Ride over the historic Apache Trail and witness the beauty of the Sonoran Desert and three lakes along the way to visit the Tonto National Monument, where you will climb to a village built by the Rio Salado Indians sometime in the 1500’s.

Morning departures available; this tour is approximately 7 hours door-to-door.

Gold & Ghosts Tour

The city and mine you will visit are the “real deal.” They remain as they were and are slowly crumbling under the watchful eyes of soaring vultures.

Morning and afternoon departures are available; tour length is approximately 5 hours door-to-door.

Custom Road Tours

We are also happy to create a custom tour for you. If there is someplace special or something different you would like to see while visiting the Valley of the Sun please let us know. We will work with you to put together a custom tour for you.

A walk is part of all our adventures, so you will need to wear closed-toe shoes.
